Airport luggage continues to fly at Manchester Airport
Expert manufacturer, Habasit UK, work with Airports to enable reliable and efficient belting solutions for baggage handling systems. During November 2022, the engineering team at Manchester Airport UK required a rapid response service to reinstate function of a baggage handling system where outage was causing service delays. Habasit’s product specialists and fabrication team worked with the Airport engineering team for a timely resume of normal service.

“The team were tasked to manufacture a large power turn to meet our customer’s urgent baggage handling requirements. Our product specialist team carried out a site survey and produced a CAD drawing the same day. Within record time the belt had been manufactured per specification and delivered direct to site, enabling the Airport’s engineering team to fit immediately.”
Habasit UK’s rapid response enabled the client’s internal engineering team to carry out the works and get the service operational within 3 days.
