Hours
Working a 39hr week with some flexibility required as the role demands.
Your main challenges
- Supporting the Engineering Manager with exciting and diverse projects.
- Taking projects from the spark of an idea to successful implementation.
- Leading and participating in projects: identifying needs, developing solutions, conducting research, presenting findings, and managing implementation.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders and 3rd-party suppliers to ensure project success.
- Providing technical support to the engineering team with a hands-on approach.
- Fostering innovation by driving new systems and improvements.
- Supervising contractors on-site and ensuring smooth operations.
- Specifying and procuring parts to keep projects running seamlessly.

Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in a maintenance engineering role in a manufacturing environment - Essential
- Level 3 or higher qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering - Essential
- A wide range of technical knowledge and the initiative to research topics to find solutions - Essential
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy - Essential
- Supervisory or team leader experience; ability to motivate others, plus prioritise and delegate tasks to the team as needed - Desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other teams on and off site; eg production, planning, warehouse - Desirable
- Experience in managing external contractors and suppliers - Desirable
- Health & Safety qualification - Desirable
- Project management experience - Desirable
