Role description

The mission of the Manager Industry Segment Paper is to own the Global Industry Segment strategy and drive profitable growth of the Industry Segment by being the knowledge expert and collaborative partner to create customer impact together with the Regional Area and Country commercial teams. The role requires demonstrating a balance of strong strategic acumen and technical sales expertise.
The Industry Segment Manager will be measured on a shadow P&L, driving execution of the Global Industry Segment strategy while establishing a high-quality commercial culture and harmonizing our working methods.
The person in this role collaborates and communicates openly and builds trustful relationships with Global, Regional, Market Area, and Country commercial teams. The person will be dedicated to the task full-time (100%).
 

Your main challenges

Develop and own the Global Industry Segment strategy
̵ Provide strategic direction and collaborate with Industry Segment team members on all levels
̵ Own the Industry Segment specific product portfolio and value proposition (incl. global campaigns)
̵ Collaborate closely with commercial leads to execute and live the Industry Segment strategy
̵ Support Regional / Market Area / Country commercial teams in critical customer meetings/projects
̵ Identify customer needs, provide input to R&D, and collaborate with P&TD on innovation
̵ Define target market price and support in project / special prices for Industry Segment product portfolio
̵ Lead, coordinate, and track Industry Segment specific product launches based on best practices
Be the knowledge expert and business development leader recognized by our customers
Build select top-management customer relationships and be a team member in Global Account Teams
Develop a Community to facilitate knowledge exchange and build deep industry & application knowledge
Coordinate and build on the expertise of Commercial Excellence functions

What we look for

Education and Experience
University degree in engineering and/or business administration (min 4-year degree, reputable university)
Minimum of >5 years experience in an international commercial leadership role incl. technical sales
Experience leading global teams in an international collaborative business environment
Experience working at a manufacturer or OEM within the Paper Industry (particularly segments like Board Converting, Paper Printing & Finishing) 
Experience working in a multi-channel business environment
